Cindy Alter

CINDY ALTER is a household name everywhere in the world except for America…but she’s back and she intends to change that.

As lead singer and founding member of internationally acclaimed all girl band CLOUT, Cindy sold more than 14 million albums worldwide and their debut single “Substitute” topped the charts in South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Israel and throughout Europe. When the album entered the Billboard Charts in the US, Cindy moved to Los Angeles to further her international career.

Fate played Cindy a bad hand when she was diagnosed with advanced leukemia. Her positive energy and indominable spirit prevailed and Cindy’s cancer has been in remission for 20 years. Returning to her South African roots to recuperate and regenerate, Cindy’s music career flourished and she was rewarded with numerous Gold and Platinum albums and a Lifetime Achievement award.

Cindy has recorded 16 albums including 3 solo albums of her own songs. Her most recent album, “Last One Standing – The Essential Collection” includes never before released bonus tracks.

While continuing to write, record and tour Cindy also found time to write her best selling autobiography, “No Substitute”. During that time of reflection, she decided to move back to America to continue her musical career and life journey.

So now Cindy’s journey continues in Nashville, her unrelenting passion and love of music driving her forward. Once you’ve heard and seen Cindy sing and perform you too will feel that force of her voice and her songs.

As a musician, Cindy is a shining example to all, having fought and succeeded against innumerable odds. As a woman, she has weathered the storms of abusive relationships and beaten cancer, and through it all, she continues to share her uplifting energy with everyone that crosses her path.

Cindy has learned not just to survive, but, in the words of one her inspiring songs, Cindy is continuing to THRIVE..!
